The Brief
Internal refurbishment of 46 one and two bedroom apartments, to include strip out and waste removal, internal painting & decorating, repairs, maintenance including plumbing and joinery, source and fit new carpet and hard floor covering throughout, source and install furniture and apartment inventory including soft furnishing and full kitchen inventory, full deep clean to each property.
Our Approach
As with all of our projects the first thing we did was to sit down with ABRI in a Pre-Start meeting to ascertain their exact requirements which included time conditions, colour schemes, finish expectation, H&S on-site and tenant management. This was followed up throughout the project via regular site meetings to ensure client requirements are being met and all regulations are being adhered to.
For this project we had a tight time scale in order to complete each property, it was therefore imperative that the trades kept to a strict programme of works, furniture delivery was scheduled as to not hinder any trades or cause H&S concerns.
For internal decoration we use "wipeable" finishes to walls and water based low odour glosses to wood work, these finishes were chosen to lessen the maintenance cycle and to minimise disturbance to other residents within the building.
Durable furnishings were chosen with longevity in mind, as well as ensuring they met with necessary fire regulations and price points.
Works were carried out by a mix of inhouse and sub-contractor staff and overseen by our own Site Manager.
The Results
We ensured the project was completed on time to the required standard of quality, H&S regulations and budget. this was largely down to the project management carried out by our Site Manager, who provided a hands on approach throughout the project.
